Holaaa mina san, O genki desu ka?
This post is about one of my fave Japanese Food, curry! Ever since I met Japanese Curry, I fell in love with it. The smooth creamy thick brown liquid over a plate of warm steamed rice, oh so addictive! Japanase curry unique characteristics differs it from other curries aroun the world. Most of the world's curry comes in a more liquid consistency, less creamy and more spicy. Apart from it, I think japanese curry is an ultimate comfort food
Coco Curry Ichibanya is a place which main purpose is serving us the most delicious Japanese Curry. Since it's been a long time since I dine at Coco Curry Ichibanya, I will only go over some superficial detail
Starting from the tuna salad, the veggies are fresh, crunchy and not bitter at all. Putting some mayo tuna salad on top is brilliant. The dressing is basically thousand island with japanese touch, a bit sour and watery compared to the americe style thousand island dressing. I love how a bite of the salad will take u into a refreshing blast.
I ordered the breaded mince beef curry rice and it was a foul decision. The curry, yum! Perfect consistency, perfect heat and bits of cheese for some extra jolt of yumminess. IMO, not the best but surely tastes good. The curry lacks boldness. The minced beef is soggy and tasteless, not good :(
My sis ordered this gooey creamy omu rice and it was awesome!! Once u cut through that egg, the filling will ooze out, heavenly! I love how the omurice tastes creamy but not too creamy. The creaminess of the omellete amplifies the curry's creaminess.
Overall, I think Coco Curry Ichibanya is a place worth visiting. Since the price is quite affordable, I'm sure many high school or university students will find this place perfect for their weekend :)

Lost in Hongkong: Part 2
Hello again patients! How's ur Sunday? Bet it's aweesommeeeeee
Kali ini kita lanjutkan dongeng mengenai Hongkong Trip kemaren... Sampe mana ya.. How about we start around the trip to Victoria Peak!!!
Gw emank nyusun itinerary sih mau kemana aja dan nulis how to get there (apakah pake MTR, taxi atau jalan).
Trust me, kayanya membingungkan ya tapi disono sangat amat rapih dan mudah dimengerti. Jadi all u need to do is read the signs and you wouldn't get lost. Anyway... Jalan nya... lumayan jauh!!!! Pake nanjak pula... Gw sampe engap jalan nya, maklum orang Jakarta kan kaga hobi jalan kaki ya heheh
Prepare your feet patients!! I went to this place on Sunday and the queue is insane! Gelo antriannyaaaaa, berapa lapis tuh ga jelas..
Viewnya keren banget... Hongkong is seriously beautiful.. It's a must see patients.
Let's review it one by one patients.
1. Crispy Bun Served With Sweet Condensed Milk (19 HKD)
Ga tau gw lagi laper ato emank enak tapi ni roti langsung abis! Yummy...
2. Baked Pork Chop in Tomato Puree and Prunes (80 HKD)
Intinya sih baked rice... Porsinya ya oloh... makannya sampe susah saking gedenya!! Dari segi rasa, I'd say not bad but not outstanding. Pork great, crispy and juicy. Tomato puree, just okay... need more mozzarela IMO.
3. Pork Curry Rice
This one looks like a Japanese curry but has the taste of Southeast Asian Curry... Again, huge portion. The curry is gooodd, flavorful and spicy, complemented the pork perfectly. The pork was yummyyy. I love how Hongkong pork is thick and juicy but not fatty. Oh so good...
After the fulfilling dinner, kita turun lagi naek tram (yang ngantri lagi sekitar setengah jam) trus balik ke hotel Well, not bad for a first half day in Hongkong :) Let's continue on the next post patients where we visit Hongkong temples.

Bangkok Delight Part 4
The food below are from Nara, a restaurant serving authentic thai cuisine in Central World. The sign in front of the place shows that Nara has won "Best Thai Restaurant Award" for a few times. Judging from the queue and the nice decor, I was instantly hooked and decided this to be our last dinner in Bangkok.
Kang Kiew Wan - Chicken Green Curry
The curry is a tad too sweet for me. I actually love Thai Green Curry since it offers something different in the world of curry. One thing this dish is missing is the WOW factor. It's a yummy curry but not yummy enough to make me lick the bowl clean.
Moo Phad Kraprao - Pork with Chili and Basil
I love this dish. Chili and basil are the perfect combination. Another well balanced dish from Nara. The pork is tender and doesn't have a slightest sign of foul smell. The portion could be bigger tho
Kang Phed Ped Yang - Roast Duck Red Curry
As expected of a thai curry, rich spicy flavor bursting with aromatic sensations. The spicy level is next to nothing (or maybe my palate is starting to numb from all those bird eye chili). The duck is nothing special but the curry is a well balance dish.
Gai Hoer Bay Toei - Chicken Pandan
One of the best I've ever tasted. The chicken is well marinated, cooked perfectly. YUMMY!
This place has adjust it's taste to foreign clientele so the dishes will not be that super spicy u need 3 bottles of water to cool your tongue. I like the fact that all of the dishes are well prepared, all yummy off course and the servers are excellent. Recommended!
